The Blood Count
of Heaton

Following their triumphal return to Heaton Park in 2016, Feelgood celebrate their 25th

anniversary with the return of the show their audiences voted ‘most want to see back’,

Dracula – The Blood Count of Heaton

Dracula is a brilliant, blood-curdling spectacle, which will surround you in an epic adventure of Gothic horror and heart-stopping love that transcends time, the elements and even death. Last year Feelgood brought the stunning love story of Romeo and Juliet to the park and now, Feelgood challenge you to walk amidst abandoned coffins and witness flying vampires and creatures of the night rising from their graves deep in the dark woods!

Feelgood’s Dracula is a site-specific contemporary re-imagining of Bram Stoker’s classic tale written especially for Heaton Park, fused with hypnotic music, magic, dance and intrigue, with a surprising Manchester reveal as we enter Heaton Hall.

With illusions by Dracula himself, actor and magician Peter Clifford, who works with Derren Brown and David Blaine.

Definitely not for the faint hearted!

Audiences let your hair down and come dressed up – prize for the best!

What the Press said ...

" ... a stellar cast who created the light and spooky shade in abundance."

" ... feverishly captivating ... "

" ...  the music was just sublime ..."

"Peter Clifford’s physical presence was scary enough without any action.

Sinister, statuesque, eyes that bored into my soul and a deep, chilling voice.

This is all before he pulled off a disappearing act that left us gasping ...

that alone should be worth the ticket price!"

... "a mesmerising and memorable night out."

What our audiences said:

"... exceptionally professional and thoroughly entertaining ... being outside and moving from set to set whilst being captivated by the performance made for an overall healthy and enjoyable experience.

Long may this type of entertainment continue!

We would recommend everyone to go along and see for themselves."

Community & Education Programme

In addition to the professional cast, we welcomed to this production pupils from Co-op Academy Manchester and returning internship contributors from the Northern Ballet School and from the Manchester School of Theatre, Manchester Metropolitan University.

(Picture) Count Dracula 'welcomes' one of the students at Co-op Academy Manchester into one of our schools workshops.

A spokesperson for the school said:

"The students were delighted and during the workshops, certainly got their teeth into playing many roles! We hope this will be the first collaboration of many and we wish students and Feelgood every success in their show."
