Remembrance Sunday 2022
Sun 13th November

10.55 am Somme Memorial, Heaton Park

Begun in 2016 by Feelgood this annual Peace and Remembrance Sunday event has become an important reflective event in Manchester's calendar. It will take place once again this year at the beautiful Somme Memorial at 10.55 am on Sunday, 13th November 2022.

Join director Caroline Clegg and friends of Feelgood; Noreen Kershaw, Andy Tomlinson, Joseph, Jordan, Rebecca Pythian, Octave8  and Freddie Ball.  We will observe the two-minute silence followed by the playing of the Last Post and then the sharing of poetry, readings, and songs.   Heaton Park was the home of the Manchester Pals Regiment during the First World War; then a recovery centre for the wounded and during the Second World War the RAF trained there.

This is a non-denominational occasion to commemorates all those who gave their lives in conflict and remembers those who continue to live with the invisible wounds of war in their daily lives.

It will last approximately 40 minutes and will continue whatever the weather.
