"A Midsummer Night's Dream 2017"

By Feelgood Theatre Productions

Outdoor Promenade Performance

Heaton Park & Hall, 26th July - 3rd August 2017

This stunning walk about production in the beautiful park culminated in three weddings and a rustic play inside the wonderful Heaton Hall. A stellar cast lead Shakespeare's greatest comedy led by the antics of Puck and the mechanicals and a whole bunch of fairies.

The show blends the past and the present with the Hall’s celebrated Egerton family making a spirited “appearance” in a few of the leading roles… Glorious music from Handel, G&S and Oasis will delight all as the cast sing, dance and act their way around the park before heading inside the Hall for the finale of three weddings and a rustic play!

Cast:

Jon-Paul Bell (Demetrius), Elianne Byrne (Titania, Hippolyta), Jenny Carson (Snug, 1st Fairy, Peaseblossom), Sophie Coward (Hermia), Ebony Feare (Puck), Karl Greenwood (Lysander),

"Ingenius ... A triumphant return for Feelgood and a tantalising promise of great things to come in the park!"

Audience Member, Rob Riley (on Facebook):

"Was lucky enough to catch Midsummer Night's Dream at Heaton Park. I was mesmerised, blown away, enthralled and generally overcome which, considering I'm one of those folk who doesn't 'get' Shakespeare is very high praise.  A solid cast and imaginative use of the park made fora fantastic evening. I don't care what you guys are doing next, whether it's Chekov or Cinderella, I'm there! Thanks for a great night x

Audience Member, Judith George (on Facebook):

"Thoroughly enjoyed this imaginative, exciting promenade production. It was truly magical!"
